INTERNATIONAL TRADEMARKS
Owners of the companies can apply for registration of an international trademark in Poland under the Madrid Agreement, of which Poland became a member on 18.03.1991. Under that agreement, the applicant for registration of a mark in the country of origin has the possibility to obtain protection for that trademark in all Member States (more than 110 countries worldwide), which is the same as that obtained directly in each country. The Madrid system is a convenient and cost-effective way to protect and manage the trademarks used in many countries of the world. The competent institution for registering international trademarks is the Office of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. The attorneys from Kancelaria Patentowa Dr inż. Zbigniew Kamiński i Syn are attorneys before WIPO in matters related to the international registration of trademarks and we provide comprehensive services in this area.
